ORLANDO, November 19, 2010 – SunDance Marketing Solutions announced today that they partnered with Darden Restaurants, Inc. and the City of Orlando’s Green-Up Orlando program to plant a tree in Turkey Lake Park.
As part of SunDance’s ongoing sustainability effort, they offer clients the opportunity to join together and plant a tree in the Orlando community. SunDance’s aspiration is to create a cooler and greener future for the City of Orlando’s Urban Forest and Florida State Forests.

Green Bill Would Benefit Print Buyers

WASHINGTON, DC—At the Legislative Intensive Session, held during the ninth annual Print Oasis Print Buyers Conference this week, print buyers from a variety of organizations came together to learn about a proposed bill that could aid in the printing industry's economic recovery and promote environmental sustainability.

The “Print Buyer’s Reduction in Taxes Bill of 2010 (PRINT),” which was presented to the U.S. Congress on Wednesday, is said to offer print buyers a credit against income tax for the completion of sustainable print projects. If passed, a print buyer will qualify for the credit if the project meets at least 13 out of the 15 sustainability requirements outlined in the bill.

Market Pulp Headed for New High

June 2, 2010 - Major producers of market pulp have announced a $20-30 per metric ton price increase for NBSK and BEK, effective June 1. If implemented, NBSK will rise to $1,020/mton in North America, $980/mton in Europe, and $890-900/mton in China, according to Deutsche Bank analysts covering the Paper & Forest Products sector.

"The latest price hike is driven by a decline in pulp producer inventories by one day of supply to 25 days," said Mark Wilde, Senior Analyst at Deutsche Bank.
